BELLINGHAM - Five businesses in a building at 202 E. Holly St. were burglarized over the weekend, with the collective loss in stolen merchandise and cash and damages estimated to be around $5,000, said Bellingham Police Lt. Steve Felmley.

Locust, Design Lab, The Calypso Salon, Le Rendez Vous Gift Art Gallery and Frank James were broken into by two men around 4:15 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 23. Police obtained surveillance video of the burglars, who are described as in their late teens to mid-20s, Felmley said.

The burglars entered each business by forcing open a door. Once inside, they stole small amounts of cash as well as many clothing items.

Police are investigating the burglaries and did not have any named suspects as of Monday afternoon, Felmley said.

Locust was burglarized two weeks earlier on Nov. 10, but police have yet to determine whether the two cases are related.

Anyone with information about these burglaries are asked to call the Bellingham Police Department at 778-8804.
