I can appreciate the level of cooperation needed to accomplish the cumbersome task of coming up with the agreed upon master plan due Dec. 5. However, how much taxpayer money has been wasted by analysis paralysis?

We have the unrivaled opportunity to become a world-class city while cleaning up an otherwise unhealthy site. Is there a better location to be the home or case study of an environmental school? Is it too much to ask to outline predictability? Treat it as a living document that is able to adapt to bad decisions.

What about the proposed cleanup grant from the EPA of $50 million? That certainly has a timeline.

If the city continues as normal I fear that the grant will go away and what we will be left with is another example of years' worth of poorly spent tax dollars and a brownfield site full of what-ifs and how-comes at the expense of all of us.

Let's come together to honor the agreement and do what is right.
