The Class 2A state football final won't feature a Northwest Conference matchup.
Prosser defeated Burlington-Edison 41-28 in the state semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 29, in Moses Lake to advance to the final where it will meet Lynden.
The Mustangs (13-0) had a 14 point lead in the first half and after Jordan Durbin's 84-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, the Tigers couldn't recover.
Burlington-Edison (11-2) didn't get on the board until the third quarter when Cole Sager caught a 2-yard pass from Dylan Boe.
Prosser finished with 234 rushing yards, led by Dylan Bolt's 77 yards on 13 carries. Durbin threw for 211 yards, completing 16 of 25 passes with no interceptions.
Sager led the Tigers on the ground with 67 yards rushing on 16 carries. Boe threw for 85 yards, completing 9 of 16 passes with an interception.
The Mustangs defeated Burlington-Edison last year in the state finals.
