High school graduation ceremonies begin this week

The end of the school year is rapidly approaching, which means it’s time for graduating high school and college students to receive their diplomas.

Below is a list of local graduation ceremonies, all of which are public unless otherwise noted.

THURSDAY

Lynden Christian High School, 7 p.m. in the football stadium.

FRIDAY

Bellingham High School, 7 p.m. in the gym. Tickets required.

Lynden High School, 7 p.m. in Jake Maberry Gym.

Meridian High School, 7 p.m. in the gym.

Nooksack High School, 7:30 p.m. in the football stadium. Ceremony will be moved to the gym if it’s raining.

SATURDAY

Squalicum High School, 11 a.m. in the gym. Tickets required.

Sehome High School, 3 p.m. at Western Washington University’s Carver Gym.

JUNE 9

Blaine High School, 7 p.m. in the gym.

JUNE 10

Options High School, 7 p.m. in Bellingham High’s theater.

JUNE 11

Mount Baker High School, 6:30 p.m. at Bob Tisdale Field. Tickets required only if raining and ceremony is moved into the gym.

Lummi High School, 5 p.m. in the gym.

JUNE 13

Northwest Indian College, 5 p.m. on campus.

Clearview High School, 6 p.m. at Horizon Middle School.

Whatcom Community College, 7 p.m. in the Whatcom Pavilion, with a reception in the Syre Student Center.

Timber Ridge Alternative High School, 7 p.m. in Meridian High’s cafeteria.

JUNE 14

Ferndale High School, 11 a.m. at Civic Stadium.

Windward High School, graduating with Ferndale High.

Western Washington University, 9 a.m. for graduates in general studies and from the colleges of Business and Economics, Fairhaven, Huxley, Science and Technology and Woodring; 2 p.m. for graduates from the colleges of Fine and Performing Arts and Humanities and Social Sciences. Both ceremonies will be in Carver Gym and tickets are required. For people without tickets, the ceremonies will be broadcast in the Science, Mathematics and Technology Education Building and in Arntzen Hall, Room 100.

JUNE 26

Bellingham Technical College, 7 p.m. in the Christ the King Church auditorium. Tickets required.
