They were in a group in high school, but went different ways. The band reunited to have some creative fun and couldn't resist Lorinda's vocals, so she joined and now they are the Fallies.

Band Name: The Fallies

Where is your band from?: Bellingham

Who is in the band and what role does each person have?: Tyler Anderson: Drums, Vocals Lorinda Brooks: Percussion, Vocals Brenan Filippini: Bass, Vocals Jeff Smith: Guitar, Vocals

What brought the band together and when?: We started playing in February of 2007 after Jeff moved back to Bellingham. The three guys in the band were in a group in high school but went different ways afterward. We decided to re-kindle the band to have some creative fun. We couldn't resist Lorinda's vocals so we got her to join.

What genre, of music do you classify your band as?: Alternative

What inspires your music?: There's many things. Anger, aggression, frustration, dislike, attraction, darkness, light, love, fun times, hard times, trust, revenge, are some of the things that pop into my head. It seems hard to find musicians who put forth a technical effort into their music and who aren't trying to follow an image, label, or stereotype. The Fallies are all about being different and we invite everyone to listen.

Who or what influences your band's sound?: As the main songwriter of the song (Jeff), I was very inspired by 90s grunge rock. It gave a place for the people who were stuck between metal bands and catchy pop music. It started a whole new chapter in rock n' roll and the evolution of music. It was the music that choreographed our youth.

Where have you toured?: I went on a nice cruise to the Bahamas in 2002! The Fallies is relatively new and we're still practicing to get tighter and tighter with our instrumentally and vocally challenging songs. To date, we have not gone on tour.

How many albums have you released?: None! We have yet to make it to an actual studio. Most of our recordings are done in my kitchen with a digital recorder, that which I've become quite good at operating.

Where do you see your band going in the future?: We're in it for the fun, so we'll go wherever the fun is. Music isn't something we do to show off- it's something we do because we love it and we have fun. Come see us and you'll agree.

What are the highs and lows in your band's history?: We're relatively new so we haven't had much time to have that sort of drama! Lorinda is still in school to become an RN, and she can't yet practice or have shows on certain nights of the week, but that will soon change. We haven't seriously pursued gigs because of that.

You're stuck on a deserted island and forced to listen to one album for eternity. What album would you pick?: Personally I would hope to have Elliott Smith's From A Basement On The Hill. He was a musical genius without a doubt, but a depressed one at that. It's amazing that his music brings so many emotions to me when I listen to it, both happy and sad. It was his last album before he committed suicide so it's very touching.

Your favorite piece of musical gear: My Fender MH 500 amp. They don't sell them in the stores, nor do they have them at the stores to try. I had to read a lot of reviews before I spent the money on it because I had to order it through the internet and shipping was expensive. I'm glad I liked it because before it came to my house I had never tried one out. It was kind of a risk, but one must take some risks in life to get what they want. The amp turned out to be amazing.

drink: Frosted toilet water margarita complete with pocket protector.
