Lynden girls' cross country team placed second in the 2A and below division and fourth overall at the 28th Hoquiam Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 11.
Karla Witte and Hannah VanZanten finished in the top three in the small schools division, placing second and third respectively.
Lynden missed the top three overall in team standings by just seven points.
"The Girls put it all out today, but given another shot at Chelan I think we could beat them," Lynden coach Bob Carson said.
